La Vista Byron Bay is Byron Bay’s newest luxury retreat. Located on the first ridge at Ewingsdale, it is one of Byron Bay’s best kept secrets. La Vista offers luxury cabin style private accommodation and is set over an acre of landscaped lawns, tropical gardens and a stunning hexagonal horizon edge pool as well as many elegant places for guests to relax and unwind.
The three private cabins, all with magnificent views over Byron Bay, have exquisite marble and travertine bathrooms, king beds, lounge and veranda spaces as well as LCD TV, DVD, Internet, and telephone. Private barbecue facilities and private outdoor eating areas are provided for all cabins. A cooked breakfast is included in the tariff with other dining options available during the day.
La Vista Byron Bay is a true quiet and peaceful environment, with an abundance of bird life and plenty of magical starry night skies overlooking the lights of Byron Bay. Looking out over the Melalucca forests to Byron Bay, the Cape and Australia’s most easterly lighthouse, La Vista is simply stunning at any time of the day…. sunrise to sunset.
Being only three minutes from Byron Bay and ten minutes to the towns of Brunswick Heads, Mullumbimby and Bangalow, Ewingsdale is truly a magical place.

Sorry but No….
The Byron Vista is a very nice place, great location and great rooms
Unfortunately the owner Damien leaves a lot to be desired in terms of service.
We ran out of hot water at 5 one evening and it wasn’t restored until 9am the next day, Damien “forgot” to turn a tap on to change over the gas bottles. I had to call him on his mobile phone to find him and get the hot water put back on. He didn’t seem to be worried about not having hot water but was upset with us when we arrived late for breakfast! We were late becase we needed to shower! Apparently it wasn’t his policy to prepare breakfast at 10am.
While Damien may be good in the kitchen his culinary skills leave a lot to be desired and his level of hygene is very low. Licking the top of a honey jar and then using it in your guests cooking is no on.
So - sorry but No, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Damien has obviously spent a lot of money on the place, but lacks the last 5% of service that would take his place from below average to a very exceptional place.
