Opening in 1977, Cape Byron Lodge is Byron Bay’s first and original Backpacker Hostel. Escape the reality of the daily grind and spend your holiday in this locally owned and operated lodge where you will be rest assured to have an authentic experience while at Byron’s Bay.

The Cape Bryon Lodge has a variety of accommodation styles available to suit your needs, including private doubles, twins, triples and quad share, plus 4×8 share dorms.  The rooms are spacious, there is a clean and fully equipped kitchen for your use, and all is surrounded by gorgeous subtropical gardens.

The Cape Byron Lodge has quiet, relaxed and easygoing spaces with an outlook to a rainforest and a saltwater pool. They offer an abundance of free activities such as bikes and boogie boards and it’s within easy walking distance to Byron’s amazing selection of beaches, shops, restaurants, cafe’s, pubs and nightclubs.  Or, you are welcome to take the free courtesy bus that runs regularly throughout the day.
